TENNIS


The MSA Tennis Program is designed for players of all ages who would love to learn and exercise the sport of tennis. To be a part of the MSA Tennis Program, previous tennis success is NOT required. What is required is a desire to become a truly accomplished tennis player by learning the skills and techniques to obtain an in-depth understanding of tennis and love for the game. The experience extends well beyond the tennis courts. Away from the rigors of practice and competition, young tennis players become involved in the participation of healthy habits and the building of lasting friendships among tennis players.

Goals/Objectives of the MSA Tennis Program:

  • To deliver the highest upmost quality and consistent level of training and attention to children and their families.
  • To be unique in combining professional quality, high-tech tennis instruction with traditional tennis classes and summer camp life for children ages 4 to 15.
  • To engage children in a healthy and active routine through tennis.
  • To serve families who value sports education and nurturing experience for their children.
  • To provide children and families in with an in an idyllic setting, unique and bilingual staff who inspire to learn and play tennis.

MSA provides five (5) different levels of tennis:

  1. Beginner/Advanced Beginner: the student is introduced to the many skills and techniques of proper tennis form. All students who have basic knowledge of tennis, will be place in the Advanced Beginer Level. In this stage of our program, detailed training in techniques are the main objective.
  2. Intermediate Level: the student will learn to develop tennis strokes based upon the skills and techniques learned in Intro I/II. This stage focuses on coaching how to make appropriate decisions in a variety of situations, which are thoroughly explained and demonstrated. Offensive and defensive styles are also discussed together with competitive strategies.
  3. Pre-Advance & Advance Levels, the tennis player is introduced to the more advanced level of strategy and competition. The level’s objective is to nurture, support and challenge each player according to his or her abilities. During the summer camp, tennis players that are at this level will be able to participate in internal tournaments in order to experience real competition and the fun dynamic of tennis matches.
